FAQ

What is the difference between the Finnish sauna, bio sauna and steam bath?

The Boffenigo wellness area includes three different heat experiences, allowing each guest to choose the type of warmth that best suits their preferences.

Finnish sauna

The Finnish sauna uses dry heat, with temperatures generally ranging from 80 to 90 °C and very low humidity.

It is the most intense environment in the wellness circuit and is particularly suitable for encouraging perspiration, relaxing the muscles and supporting recovery after physical activity.

A stay of around 8 to 15 minutes is generally recommended, followed by a cooling-down and rest period.

Bio sauna

The bio sauna provides gentler heat, with temperatures generally ranging from 50 to 60 °C and light humidity.

It offers an intermediate experience between the Finnish sauna and steam bath and is particularly suitable for guests who prefer less intense heat or are trying a wellness circuit for the first time.

Steam bath

The steam bath features humid heat, with average temperatures ranging from 40 to 50 °C and very high humidity.

The heat is softer and enveloping and is especially suitable for general relaxation and muscle relaxation.

Guests can complete the wellness circuit with emotional showers and the ice cascade, alternating hot and cold phases.
